Community Food Plot - Volunteering Sessions

  • Plant Co-operative Redfern Street Manchester, M60 0AB (map)

Join the Plant gardening team in the NOMA gardens every Monday during March and April for our Community Plot Volunteering Sessions!

These sessions, funded by Manchester City Council, will focus on the creation of our new community food growing plot that will be a space for people to garden, enjoy and harvest from throughout the year. Alongside growing veggies, fruit and edible flowers, we're also keen to hear your suggestions around what you'd like to see growing right here in our city centre garden.

You'll gain experience in setting up a growing plot from scratch, as well as the oppertunity to get outside, meet new people, and get your hands dirty.

No experience needed just bring yourselves, a good pair of boots and wear something you don't mind getting a bit muddy. We’ll provide all the tools, gloves and everything we're going to grow.

We'll be working on this new plot every Monday throughout March and April and you're welcome for the morning or afternoon session or feel free to stay all day.

If you'd like to join us, please claim a free ticket using the link below as we have a maximum capacity for six volunteers per session. If you can no longer make it, no worries just cancel your ticket so we know who to expect.

Any questions you have before the day feel free to send them over to Grace at hello@plantmcr.co.uk.

This event is free to attend but booking is essential - Book A Spot.
